5-StarsI must admit I read "Forget Me Not" back in November. When I finished it I rated it 5-Stars, but I didn't write my review at the same time. I figured I would get to it in a few days. Well, that didn't happen with the holidays and life. I got side-tracked until recently. To be honest I needed to go and refresh my memory of the beginning of Lily and Jack's story.
Once I got started reading about the beginning of Lily and Jack's relationship I got drawn in once again and couldn't put the book down, which I must say I didn't put it down the first time either. It was like I was reading it for the first time but with more insight. I was amazed at how the characters have matured throughout this series. Lily and Jack's relationship has grown stronger, if not a bit more complex, since I read this book (I have read all of the books so far in this series except for "Blue Rose").
Here are my thoughts on "Forget Me Not". It is an emotional and intriguing beginning for this series. I believe Sarah Daltry's vision for this series was incredible. And "Forget Me Not" is a stunning and fascinating embarkment for an inspiring and intensely emotional series. Lily and Jack's journey is one that is hard fought with obstacles and heartbreak that could ruin any relationship. But they confront every one of these obstacles with the extraordinary love and undeniable trust they have for each other.
As a side note. The sexual interaction with Lily and Jack are panty wetting, erotic and sexually stimulating you may want to have your significant other handy.

Forget Me Not Lily Story A Flowering Novel edition by Sarah Daltry Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Although I love the story and its context, I do not have fond feelings for Lily. She started as a needy, whiny child who made Derek her world and put the weight of her life on his shoulders. Alot to carry for a college guy. She was all I want independence blah blah but than Derek didn't get a moment's peace and instead of trying to settle into college and make friends she had her world revolve around Derek. Hearing people call him bad boyfriend uh huh. Especially after she said I need a break and he gave her one didn't hear from her made plans on her birthday since she had said I need a break and than went off on him and accused him of cheating and than slept with Jack even though she was still with Derek. Not only did she sleep with him she had four days of debauchery. Than Derek tried to talk to her and she ignored him.
No not right. Derek may not have been perfect but he respected her boundaries and did as she asked. So when he does come and there's Jack and he even says I will forgive and she doesn't even admit to her wrongdoing but really in essence blamed him in a round about way I wanted to scream. She needed to grow up.
That aside I loved Kristen and even Jack. I loved seeing Jack struggle and try to become something more. He has had a rough life and wanted to become something more. His past haunts him and Lily made him feel safe. He didn't want a girlfriend because he didn't feel worthy but lily changed that. This I do like her for. She helped Jack and he is beginning to heal. I even towards the end saw her changing into a strong woman but it will take awhile for me to warm up to her. I am starting to thaw but the way she was at the beginning didn't rub me right.
This book has some no alot of sexual encounters in it. Some rough some tender but still alot. Don't get me wrong it helped get to understand Jack more and how Lily was thinking and when Jack took it off the table to get to know her you saw love and understanding and a relationship begin. It was wonderfully written and thoroughly entertaining but I do like to warn when a new adult book has this subject in it.
The story was a good story about finding yourself lost and trying to see who you are. About finding love and safety in someone and wanting to be there for them the good and bad. A wonderful read and I look forward to the next in the series.
I so loved this book! Kids in college and love seem to be a given in romances, but such a beautiful story… I just didn’t expect it. I expected to like it, but did not know I’d love it this much. Sarah Daltry explained everything people don’t talk about when it comes to college how it’s a completely new life, how when you grow, you change, how you struggle to fit in and find your way, how what you thought and what really is are very different things. Most importantly, who you thought you should be and who you become are so very different at times.
Lily comes to college with the perfect setup a roommate she seems to befriend fast, a boyfriend that she wanted for as long as she remembered and who just happens to love her, a major she chose because she likes it. It all sounds perfect, even living a couple hours away from her man, she’s done that for a year while he was away at college and she was still in high school.
The reality of her life is a bit different. It’s not the same now, and seeing Derek choose different things over her hurts her, making friends and having fun are not easy tasks to accomplish. And then there’s Jack, the polar opposite of what she thought she wanted in a man. Yet so perfectly tempting!
This is, to a point, a love triangle. But not the type you’re used to where someone goes back and forth between two choices. It’s really a dying relationship and a budding one. The first one ends poorly and the second one has a rough start, based on sex and roughness. Derek, the first love, was the perfect, boy next door boyfriend that everyone welcomed. Jack is tattooed, broken, and has an attitude. Yet he is at times exactly what Lily needs – someone to push her out of her comfort zone, someone to experiment with, someone to fall in love with.
Yet falling enough does not define her entirely, she’ll still struggle to decide who to choose, what to do with her life, and who she is in the end. I just loved reading this story, I felt every emotion seep from the pages of the book and into my heart.
5-Stars
